What does DEN mean in tights?
The abbreviation DEN (denier) indicates the density and fineness of the fibre used to make tights. It expresses the weight of the yarn in grams per 1,000 metres. The lower the DEN number, the thinner and more transparent the tights are. Higher DEN values mean denser fabric, better coverage and higher durability.
Low DEN – light and sheer
